Snorkel at Molokini Crater – Tours leave from Ma`alaea Harbor each day. Complimentary food is provided and snorkel gear. Underwater visibility can be at least 100 feet or more making this one of the best places to enjoy Maui snorkeling. Kamaole I, II, III – All three are lifeguard protected and have full amenities. Kamaole III has a playground for kids. Maui snorkeling is best between II and III where much coral and many colorful reef fish abound.
Charley Young Beach – Located at the right end of Kamaole I, this is popular for dazzling Maui sunsets and offers a good vantage point to see humpback whales in winter. Popular for swimming, Stand Up Paddling (SUP) and snorkeling near the rocks.
Kalama Beach Park -Cove Beach is located here and our Maui webcam. You will find Kalama Beach in the middle of town. It offers great views of Haleakala and Molokai. Kalama covers 36 acres and contains a multitude of facilities like restrooms, shower and picnic tables.
Mai Poina Oe Lau Beach Park – Popular for windsurfing in the afternoon and swimming early in the day, this long and narrow white sand beach is where Captain George Vancouver came ashore. Look for the totem pole that marks his arrival on Maui.
