Tip: Check directly with each Maui golf course below for special promotions and reduced multi-day passes. Prices below are subject to change.

Waiehu | 200 Halewaiu Road, Waiehu, Wailuku, Maui, HI 96793 | Phone Number: 808-244-5934.

Cost: Green fees are $45-$55 depending on season. Twilight rates after 1:00pm range from $30-$45. After 3:00pm you can play 9 holes from $20-$25.

Features: Restaurant, Pro Shop and Starter’s Booth.

Location: Next to Waiehu Beach Park and easily accessible from Kahekili Highway (340)

Our Report: This is the only municipal golf course on Maui. The entire front 9 runs along the ocean which means play can be challenging with wind conditions. Its open fairways are playable for all levels. On the back nine two holes standout. The 15th par 4 which takes you downhill to the ocean and the 15th par 3 directly uphill to an unseen green. No matter which hole you play, there is an ocean view to enjoy.

Kahili | 2500 Honoapiilani Hwy, Wailuku, HI 96793 | Phone Number: 808-242-4653.

Cost: Green Fees are $73-$90 with dynamic pricing that varies by day and season. Twilight rates after 2:00pm start at $64. Lower rates available every “Aloha Friday.”

Features: Pro-Shop and Restaurant.

Location: At the base of the West Maui Mountains with views of Haleakala Crater and the ocean.

Our Report: Picked by Golf Magazine as the best course you can play in Hawaii. The earlier you arrive the less windy it will be. This sleeper course has lots of challenges. Greens run at a medium pace and fairways are in great condition. Hole 7 is a favorite – a reachable dogleg Par 4 with risk reward. The back nine includes a memorable hole 11, tough into the wind with second shot downhill. With multiple doglegs and elevation changes, this is a fun course to play. When putting, watch the grain as that can accentuate the speed or break of your putt.

Dunes at Maui Lani | 1333 Maui Lani Parkway, Kahului, HI 96732 | Phone Number: (808) 873-0422.

Cost: Green fees are $75-$89 and include shared cart and tax. Twilight rate after 1:00pm is $65.

Features: Pro Shop and Restaurant.

Location: Near the airport. You can play here on your last day with time left over to catch a flight to the mainland.

Our Report: Fairways are cut tight but are still very playable. Elevation changes can be a challenge, especially on number 10, and their are many blind spots. Bunkers require a well placed tee shot and approach. Afternoon winds hit on the back nine and can turn some holes into a real adventure.
