We Are Open! Updates & Important Information

To our valued guests, homeowners and Maui locals:

The team at VTrips and Maui Rental Group holds the people of Maui and those affected in our hearts. We have our leadership team on the ground to help support recovery efforts and provide first-hand status updates.

Based on this first-hand assessment, we are grateful to report that the properties in Kihei and Wailea are unaffected and ready for guest arrival. These areas were not affected by the wildfires and are a considerable distance from Lahaina. Kapalua will be open as of 8/16/23 at 6:00 pm. 

To determine that these properties are ready for arrival, our team has verified the following:

• Kahului/Maui Airport Airport (OGG) is open and operating as normal.
• Roads to Kihei, Wailea and Kapalua are open and operating as normal.
• Air Quality is good.
• Grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations and medical facilities are open and operating as normal.
• Beaches are open and operating as normal.

At this time, we are offering guests with an August arrival date who continue to be uncomfortable traveling to Maui to use the value of their reservation as a credit towards a future stay due to the extenuating circumstances (terms apply). Please call (808) 379-3208 to make arrangements with our local team in Maui as soon as possible.

Please know that our willingness to honor reservations and host vacations in Maui is not a lack of respect for those affected. Our teams are grieving and have many friends and family members that have suffered in this tragedy. However, these unaffected areas also need our support as their livelihoods strongly depend on tourism.
